Tamar Braxton, the renowned singer and television personality, disclosed a terrifying health scare that occurred on the weekend of August 17, 2025. In a heartfelt message shared on her Instagram Stories, Braxton revealed that a friend found her in a pool of blood following a serious accident that left her with multiple injuries. The 48-year-old singer described the experience as a near-death moment and detailed her ongoing recovery process.

In her Instagram post, Braxton wrote, “I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can’t even really talk anymore I’m so weak. I almost died Sunday. I was found in a pool of blood from my friend with a face injury.” She further explained that her injuries included a fractured nose, loss of some teeth, and reduced mobility. Reflecting on the incident, she shared how it has profoundly changed her perspective on life, saying, “The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend my mental journey begins… pray for me for real. I don’t even know what happened to me.”

Adding a spiritual touch to her message, Tamar included the song “Spirit Lead Me” by Plumb in the background of her Instagram story and later shared a passage from Proverbs 31, which honors strong women.

Just hours before revealing her accident, Braxton posted a message expressing gratitude for waking up, writing, “Thank you God for waking me up today.”

Earlier in 2025, Tamar was preparing for her “October Nights: Calling All Lovers Tour,” promoting new music alongside established hits like “Stay and Fight.” She shared updates on social media about her health journey and fitness goals leading up to the tour, emphasizing her commitment to her voice and well-being.

Tamar Braxton recently appeared alongside her sisters in the reality series The Braxtons, which honors their late sister Traci Braxton, who passed away in 2022 due to esophageal cancer. The series highlights the sisters’ bond and personal stories, including how Traci’s last wish inspired the continuation of the show.

In April, the family commemorated what would have been Traci’s 54th birthday with heartfelt tributes, including a concert moment where fans lit up the venue with flashlights while her hit song “Last Call” played. Tamar paid tribute on Instagram with a touching message celebrating her sister’s memory and legacy.

As Tamar Braxton continues her recovery from this recent ordeal, fans and well-wishers around the world are rallying to show their support for her health and ongoing artistic endeavors.
